Galeforce: Mission 4

I had four ideas for this mission but didn’t fall madly in love with any of them, so I decided to just give y’all the highlights of three of them. I might poke the fourth idea later.

The first panel is, of course, the mandatory Galeforce explaining how this mission shouldn’t apply to her.

Follow the logic with me for a second. On the mission 4 video, the main computer’s error messages say “all the systems are crashed by the virus” then, more importantly, “berthes are infected.” The BERTHS are infected. ‘Cons got the virus while sleeping IN BERTHS. Meaning that, hypothetically, if a ‘Con slept somewhere other that a berth – let’s say, oh I don’t know, A HAMMOCK – they couldn’t have downloaded the virus. Hence, Galeforce feels she shouldn’t have to get a check-up.

Second panel has Galeforce taking Odd Job to see Triblast. She may not sleep in a berth but, the semi-nomadic Odd Job probably does from time to time.

Why such a young, absent-minded medic, you ask? Because Odd Job isn’t actually an official D-con. He just wears the Guardian’s insignia and hangs out with Galeforce all the time. As such, he isn’t on the list of people who need to get check-ups. Our resident redneck picked Triblast since she knew she could dominate his will with her over-bearingly sweet Southern ways. She is going to have him take care of Odd Job but put her name down on the record. She’ll probably tell Triblast something about how she doesn’t want him to get in trouble for wasting time and supplies on someone who doesn’t work here. Clever, no?

Skywave is still pissed. Maybe it was the the slap was a bit too much?

Oh, and the lollipop is from Galeforce. The medics here aren’t that nice. She’s going to use this check-up as an excuse to spoil Odd Job more than usual.

The moral of this story? If you don’t want a check-up, quit complaining and come up with a clever plot to get your name checked off the list.

FYI, medic-people. You, as deviants, may know Galeforce hookied out of her check-up, but the record shows she got looked at, not to mention she kicked up enough of a fuss with Skywave that everyone saw her in the medbay. So, yeah, not much you can do about it. Sorry
